Pat Oleszko: The Future is For/Boating

David Peter Francis and ACOMPI are pleased to present The Future is For/Boating, a newly commissioned processional performance by Pat Oleszko on the Staten Island Ferry on June 30, 2024. Debuting new costumes, Oleszko and several performers will promenade through various levels of the ferry as they pass various New York City landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty— the absurd voyage drawing attention toward rising sea levels, a recurring interest across her five-decade career.
A younger generation of the city’s premiere experimental performers will present new works in dialogue with Oleszko: Abby Lloyd, who leads a parade of characters steeped in Americana; Alex Tatarsky, who will cameo as the Statue of Liberty, a recurring motif in their and Oleszko’s practice; and Amando Houser, who will perform as Delia Delia the flat-chested witch on a journey towards self- actualization, ahead of their premiere at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2024.

Join the infamous Drag-Vamp, Midnight Coleslaw as she hosts a campy and terrifying evening of one-acts conjured up by Joey Merlo (On Set with Theda Bara) and director Nick Browne. The Tank presents Midnight Coleslaw’s Tales from Beyond the Closet!!! An evening of queer horror including a chair made of skin that turns into a humanoid third-wheel in a couple’s relationship, a father back from the dead to make sure his little (unbeknownst to him lesbian) girl is thriving, and a party of disappearing guests. Exit the closet and enter (if you dare) the bizarre and titillating world of Midnight Coleslaw and her bag of One-Act tricks and treats.

Along with a rotating roster of celebrity guests, Snatch and Tainty fart, flirt, and squirt in order to bring awareness and love to genitals and their human companions everywhere.
